Author Guidelines

Authors wishing to publish in The Ibn Sina Sirte Medical Journal must adhere to the following instructions and rules when preparing and submitting their manuscripts.

Submission Checklist

Before beginning the submission process, please ensure the following:

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (APA 7th).
  • IRB approval is secured for medical/field research involving human subjects.
  • The abstract does not exceed 250 words and includes objectives, methodology, results, and recommendations.
  • Figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  • 1. Title PageShould contain a concise and informative title, author names, affiliations (University/Hospital), and the corresponding author's email.
  • 2. Abstract and KeywordsA comprehensive abstract (150-250 words) reflecting the content of the research, along with 4-6 keywords.
  • 3. IntroductionA brief presentation of the research problem, its significance, objectives, and relevant literature review.
  • 4. MethodologyAccurate description of the research design, population and sample, data collection tools, and statistical methods used.
  • 5. ResultsObjective presentation of results supported by tables and figures, without interpretation.
  • 6. DiscussionInterpretation of results, comparison with previous studies, and clarification of study limitations.
  • 7. Conclusion & RecommendationsSummary of main findings and scientific/practical recommendations for decision-makers.
  • 8. ReferencesDocumentation of all sources according to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition.
