The editorial board is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published after peer review by specialized referees. Key duties include:
- Ensuring scientific content is published with integrity and accuracy.
- Overseeing the peer review process and selecting suitable reviewers.
- Making publication decisions based on scientific quality and originality.
- Protecting the confidentiality of information submitted by authors.
Duties of the Publisher
The publisher, together with the editors, shall take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred.
- Under no circumstances encourage such misconduct or knowingly allow such misconduct to take place.
- Handle allegations, complaints, and ethical oversight of misconduct based on the COPE guidelines.
- Commit to the permanent availability and preservation of scholarly research.
- Support the editorial board against external or legal pressures.
