How to Conduct a Successful Peer Review

To access your review, log in to the submission system using the links on the journal's website.

Before You Begin

Consider the following questions before accepting or declining an invitation:

  • Does the article match your area of expertise? Accept only if you can provide a high-quality review.
  • Do you have a potential conflict of interest? Disclose this to the editor.
  • Do you have time? Reviewing can be a lot of work (at least one hour).

Review Criteria

Reviewers will provide an overall assessment of the following points:

  1. The manuscript is of significance.
  2. The manuscript is appropriate for the focus.
  3. The reasoning is logical and rigorous.
  4. The thesis is thoroughly explored and supported by evidence.
  5. Implications are clear and based on reasoning.
  6. Language is clear, correct, and concise.
  7. The manuscript has followed APA guidelines.

Comments To Authors

Reviewers should provide detailed feedback related to: Significance, Review of Literature, Research Design, and Style. Your comments should be courteous and constructive, without personal details.

Recommendation

Reviewers make one of the following recommendations along with a written report:

Recommendation Comments to Author
Decline Submission You believe the manuscript is unsuitable for publication. Explain your reasoning.
Resubmit Elsewhere You believe the manuscript has potential but would be more suitable for another journal.
Resubmit for Review (Major Revisions) Significant revisions are required before publication can be considered.
Revisions Required (Minor Revisions) Specific revisions should be made before publication can be considered.
Accept Submission The manuscript should proceed to the next stage without edits.
